FROM 56K DAYS TO MODERN DIGITAL ENGINEERING

From requirements to release: development, integrations, and long-term maintenance.
Complex digital systems designed to scale, stay stable, and remain maintainable over time.

Alberto Marangelo (1984) is a Software Consultant (Architecture & Development) focused on designing, building, and managing complex digital systems for business.

“56K generation”: early web, Photoshop versions, and code experiments shaped my path. Over the years I built a cross-disciplinary profile across IT and digital production (business software, web platforms, web apps, game development, digital growth & operations), evolving into a pragmatic and end-to-end technical partner.

Today I also coordinate a small development network for digital business projects  [⇲].

⋮ AREAS OF WORK

Topics you can discuss with me, from a business and technical perspective.

Project Coordination

Analysis, roadmap, technical decisions, delivery: projects reach the finish line

Backend Development
Full Stack JS — Node.js

APIs, databases, integrations: performance, security, scalability

Frontend Development

Clean, fast, maintainable interfaces: UX + solid code

Security Hardening

Hardening, access control, audits, and reduced attack surface

Mobile via PWA
WebApp / PWA

Mobile experience without stores: PWA, offline, quick install

Brand & Business Design

Visual direction and coherence: design that supports the business

⋮ Technical & architectural approach (for practitioners)

The approach is architectural: problem first, then model, then technology.

End-to-end management of complex projects, with solutions built to be stable, understandable, and sustainable—often supported by custom frameworks and tools when needed.

  • Windows in brief Windows Windows is a mainstream operating system used across office and professional environments. Modern development is often cross-platform, with web technologies playing a central role.

  • Apple platforms in brief Apple platforms Apple’s ecosystem includes iOS/iPadOS/macOS. Cross-platform approaches often rely on web technologies, with testing performed across target environments.

  • Android in brief Android Android and ChromeOS power a large share of mobile and lightweight devices. Many products use cross-platform stacks and web technologies to reach multiple environments efficiently.

  • CLI/terminal in brief CLI / Terminal A direct interface to operating systems and tools. It enables fast, precise operations without graphical layers.

  • HTML in brief HTML HTML is a markup language used to structure content and define semantic elements on the web.

  • CSS in brief CSS CSS defines the visual presentation of HTML structures: layout, typography, and responsive behavior.

  • JavaScript in brief JavaScript JavaScript powers modern web applications and is widely used server-side through Node.js for scalable systems and tooling.

  • Node.js in brief Node.js Node.js is a runtime that executes JavaScript server-side. It’s a common choice for APIs, services, and backend systems.

  • MongoDB in brief MongoDB A document-oriented database often used for scalable systems, flexible schemas, and fast iteration.

  • PWA in brief PWA Progressive Web Apps bring app-like experiences to the web, including installability and offline support when implemented.

  • C# in brief C# A strongly-typed language from Microsoft, commonly used in enterprise software and game development (e.g., Unity).

  • Unity in brief Unity A real-time engine used for interactive applications, games, and simulations.

  • Figma in brief Figma A collaborative design tool for UI/UX prototyping and interface design.

  • Blender in brief Blender An open-source 3D tool used for modeling, rendering, and content creation.
